Engie: dividend approved at general shareholders’meetig
Engie announces that its combined general meeting of 17 May has approved all the resolutions, including its ordinary dividend for fiscal year 2018, which has been set at 0.75 euro per share, plus an exceptional dividend of 0.37 euro per share.
Taking into account the payment of an interim dividend of 0.37 euro made on 12 October 2018, a balance of 0.75 euro will be paid on 23 May. As from 2020 the energy group will pay its annual dividend in one go.
In addition, the board of directors, which has been tightened to around 14 members, has reviewed the composition of its committees. Jean-Pierre Clamadieu thus becomes chairman of the committee for strategy, investment and technology, replacing Edmond Alphandéry.
Solid financial results - 2019 full year guidance confirmed (30/07/2019)
- Group results as of June 30, 2019 – phasing in line with expectations within the year: current operating income of EUR 3.2bn, up 3%, and 6% on an organic2 basis, and EBITDA of EUR 5.3bn, up 1%, and 2% on an organic2 basis.
- Softer first quarter followed by a significant improvement, resulting in a first half driven by strong Energy Management, Nuclear and an improvement in Client Solutions performance in the second quarter.
- Expected full year profit growth remains weighted towards the second half.
- ENGIE confirms its 2019 guidance 3 for net recurring income Group share (in a range of EUR 2.5 billion to EUR 2.7 billion) and for the net financial debt / EBITDA ratio (equal to or below 2.5x excluding the TAG acquisition).

Veo que en 2018 pagó dos dividendos en mayo y octubre, pero interpreto que en 2019 se ha concentrado en uno solo en mayo. ¿Es correcto lo que digo?
Engie volverá en 2021 a anotarse un beneficio contundente, que además cotiza en bolsa con múltiplos muy atractivos para el inversor. Sus acciones gustan al mercado.
Engie ofrece la estabilidad de una retribución por dividendo cercana al 6% para los próximos años, susceptible de mejorar por la potente escalada de beneficios prevista.
Mejora resultados y sube dividendo a 85c desde los 53 del año pasado (habían fijado un suelo de 65c para el periodo 2021/2023 y un payout entre 65 y 75%).
